Please review the following policies before your appointment.

Location & Atmosphere

  • Private, professional salon environment

  • By appointment only (no walk-ins)

  • Please arrive alone to maintain a calm and focused atmosphere

  • No additional guests or children unless booked for their own service

  • Please arrive no more than 5 minutes early

Booking & Deposits

  • A $20 non-refundable deposit is required to secure all wash and style appointments

  • A $30 non-refundable deposit is required to secure all special occasion style appointments

  • The deposit is applied toward your total service cost

  • Deposits must be sent via e-transfer to sarahbeautyboutique24@gmail.com

  • Appointments are not confirmed until the deposit is received

  • Deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable

Cancellations, Rescheduling & No-Shows

  • A minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule

  • Deposits will be forfeited if the appointment is cancelled or rescheduled for any reason

  • No-shows will forfeit their deposit and may be required to pay in full to rebook

  • Repeated last-minute changes may require full prepayment for future bookings

Late Arrivals

  • Please arrive on time

  • Clients arriving 15 minutes late or more may have their appointment shortened or rescheduled

  • Includes a professional cleanse, condition, and blow-dry style

  • Styling may include smooth blowout, curls, or waves based on your preference

  • Please communicate your desired style in advance when possible

Before Your Appointment

To ensure the best results:

  • Hair may be dirty or clean upon arrival (wash is included)

  • Hair must be free of excessive buildup, such as heavy oils, masks, or product residue

  • Please arrive with your

  • Excessive tangling or buildup may require additional time and fees

  • Please share any extensions, sensitivities, or scalp concerns before your appointment

Aftercare & Longevity

To help your style last:

  • Avoid moisture, humidity, and excessive touching

  • Sleep with hair loosely tied or wrapped if possible

  • Use recommended products to maintain your style

  • Results may vary depending on hair type, weather, and daily activities

Refunds & Adjustments

  • All services are non-refundable

  • Any concerns must be addressed during the appointment so adjustments can be made

  • Please come prepared and on time

  • Styles are customized based on your hair type, length, and condition

  • Certain styles may not achieve the same result depending on natural texture or density

  • Your hair’s health and integrity will always be prioritized

Skin Prep Before Your Appointment

To ensure the best results:

  • Arrive with a clean, moisturized face (no makeup, SPF, or oils)

  • Gently exfoliate the night before

  • Avoid trying new skincare products the week of your appointment

  • Avoid waxing 24–48 hours prior

  • Avoid sunburn or fresh self-tan on the face

  • Inform me of any allergies, sensitivities, or recent skin treatments

Optional Skin Prep (Client Choice)

For an even smoother makeup application, clients may choose to:

  • Gently remove peach fuzz or exfoliate the skin before their appointment

  • Book a professional dermaplaning service with a licensed esthetician

This step is completely optional, but can help make-up sit more smoothly on the skin.

Please note:

  • Do not try dermaplaning for the first time right before your appointment

  • Avoid doing this if you have active acne, irritation, or sensitive skin

  • Not recommended for clients under 18

Sarah’s Beauty Boutique is not responsible for skin reactions caused by at-home treatments or external services performed before your appointment.

Sanitation & Safety

  • All tools and products are sanitized between each client

  • Disposable applicators are used where necessary to maintain hygiene

Client Expectations

  • Please send 1–2 inspiration photos prior to your appointment

  • All looks are customized based on your features and preferences

  • Results may vary depending on skin type, preparation, and environmental conditions

  • No additional services or guests are permitted unless discussed in advance

Aftercare & Longevity Tips

To maintain your makeup:

  • Avoid touching or rubbing your face

  • Use blotting paper or tissue if needed

  • Bring lip products and powder for touch-ups

  • Remove lashes gently before bed

  • Cleanse and moisturize your skin thoroughly after your event

  • Avoid heavy oils or exfoliants for 24 hours

Refunds & Adjustments

  • Any concerns must be addressed during the appointment so adjustments can be made

Photography

  • Photos or videos of your finished look may be taken for portfolio and marketing purposes

  • Please advise if you prefer not to be photographed
